2013 Woodward Collection
Fedele Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes

Fedele Pinot Noir is deep ruby red in colour. Raspberry, cherry, black currant and orange blossoms intermingle with toasty oak. The palate finishes long and its juicy acidity lends it to aging for a good 5 to 7 years.

Winemaking Notes

Fedele means faithful in Italian. This special release was name after our beloved Labrador Retrievor Maddy who left us in the fall of 2015. Forever faithful in her love and companionship she was always the first to great all visitors to the tasting room. Aged for 18 months in French oak before resting an additional year in the bottle this one time limited release of 119 cases we hope will hold a special memory for you as has Maddy for us.

Food Pairings

Pinot Noir is always a delight to pair most foods with. Consider pastas with rich creamy sauces, wood fired pizza topped with arugula and basil, quiche or wild mushroom risotto.
