"Casato" meaning family farm personifies the vertical lineage passed on from fathers to sons. The Woodward roots are firmed planted here at the farm and this wine is a tribute to our family roots. Harvested from Osoyoos, BC, this wine was aged for 18 months in French oak followed by an additional year in the bottle. An earthy nose opens to chocolate-covered cherries, leather, and blueberry flavors that linger on a velvety and generous finish.

This Merlot has rich character and structure. While it would pair wonderfully with Boeuf Bourguignon and caramelized roasted veggies, it is equally elegant with a decadent rich casserole or dishes with creamy sauces.
